Zambezi National Park

The small (but very scenic) Zambezi National Park is a great destination for a day trip from Victoria Falls since it is located next to it. There are also several lodges overlooking the Zambezi River inside the park offering a real bush experience. Elephant and buffalo are regularly seen, as well as giraffe and zebra.There is a good variety of antelope including water buck, impala and sable.

 

Kariba

Lake Kariba is among the 4 largest man – made lakes in the world and is the second largest in Africa. The shoreline is over 2000 km long, a home to numerous species of flora and fauna and is an exciting and unique safari destination. The park lies along the Zambezi River, it is a standing example of the integration between men and mature. Kariba stands out as one place where mankind still lives in harmony with nature. 

Hwange National Park

Hwange National Park is the largest and most popular park in Zimbabwe. It offers excellent wildlife viewing including the Big Five. Hwange is most known for the impressive concentration of elephants. Hwange offers an experience like no other , from walking safaris to exciting game drives .Visitors can look forward to a private and secluded safari in a pristine environment.

Mana Pools

Manapools National Park is rated the 5th best park in Africa by Gateway magazine. It’s home to a great diversity of wildlife. It is an outstanding destination for classic safaris. Visitors drift past crocodile and hippo on a Zambezi canoe safari while banks are lined with buffalo ,elephants, hyenas and other game. The best time for wildlife viewing in Mana Pools National Park is during the Dry season, from June to October. 

Great Zimbabwe

Great Zimbabwe monument is a Unesco World Heritage Site, it’s full of history and provides a perfect day out for visitors in Zimbabwe. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe during the country’s Late Iron Age. Served as a royal palace for the Zimbabwean monarch it was used as the seat of political power. One of its most prominent features were the walls, some of which were over five meters high and which were constructed without mortar. 

 

Gonarezhou National Park

Gonarezhou” meaning “Place of many Elephants” is an extremely scenic Park full of rugged and beautiful landscapes. The Save, Runde and Mwenezi rivers flow through the park attracting the numerous species of wildlife especially birdlife, the river teeming with numerous species of fish. As its name implies, Gonarezhou is famous for its elephants, and many of the largest-tusked elephants in the region maybe are found within the Park.

 

Matobo National Park

Just another world heritage site among many others in Zimbabwe. One  of it’s sublime features is the Matopo Hills a series of granite kopjes (rock formations) wooded valleys formed over 2 billion years ago. In addition a World’s view , a scenic viewpoint and the burial of Cecil John Rhodes grave. The wildlife includes leopards both black rhinos and white rhinos. The park overlooks Maleme Dam  where there are excellent camping and picnic spots.

 

Matusadona National Park

This park is situated on the shores of Lake Kariba and comprises of 1400 square kilometres of diverse flora and fauna. Matusadona is an Intensive Protection Zone (IPZ) and home to several relocated black rhinoceros and was also set up to rejuvenate other herds of endangered species. This park is one of the few that has all the members of the Big 5!

 

Eastern Highlands

Deep valleys, bare granite peaks, gorges, sparkling trout streams rolling through sharp cliffs and pine forested hill slopes the beauty of Eastern Highlands is beyond imagination. Not only that but there are lots of fun activities to do making it the perfect holiday destination. Altitude lies between 1800m and 2593m it provides a cool weather and fresh mountain air which is ideal for rest and relaxation.
