Rooms and Suites
With only four tented suites in total, Somalisa Acacia Camp is the ideal option for small groups or families when on safari in Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park.
Two family tented suites with inter-leading walkways between the parents’ and children’s rooms come with en-suite bathrooms that are simply magnificent, perfect for families with children of all ages.
The two tented suites offer large luxurious bedrooms and en-suite bathroom facilities.
The suite amenities at Acacia Camp include a private viewing deck, copper slipper-style bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers, standing fan, wood burning fireplace and mosquito nets and repellent.

Cuisine and Wine
As with a camp of this nature, the cuisine is up there with the best that Hwange National park or Zimbabwe has to offer.
Numerous dining location includes both indoor and outdoor options as well as bush breakfast and picnic lunch options.
The wine selection at Somalisa Acacia Camp is excellent, with a variety of red and white wines available. There is something to suit everyone’s taste, from light, refreshing whites to rich, full-bodied reds.
Wine is served in beautiful crystal glasses, adding to the overall experience.
Facilities
The central guest area comprises a lounge area with a small library and fireplace, full bar, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and an outdoor seating area with great views.
A swimming pool with loungers and firepit are located next to each other, again with great views out over and into the Hwange bushveld.
The entire camp is run off solar power, back-up generators if it all goes wrong and clouds move over for a few days.
Activities
Safari activities at Somalisa Acacia Camp include game drives, walking safaris, birding safaris, and for children, the “Ngwana Club” (see below).
All safari activities are conducted by highly trained and professional safari guides and trackers, all within the Hwange National Park.
The game drives are a great way to see the all the Hwange wildlife in their natural habitat, including lion, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalos, and many other plains game species.
Walking safaris are available and are a great way to get up close and personal with the fauna and flora of the Hwange National Park.
Somalisa Acacia and her surroundings offer up exceptional birding safaris in an area that plays host to some 400+ species of birds.
