Located in Hwange National Park, in one of the best game viewing areas in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa. The camp overlooks a waterhole that pretty much offers up a permanent wildlife viewing experience on one’s doorstep, sit back and let the wildlife come to you.



A small and intimate camp offers guests a more private safari option, perfect for a family or a small group of friends. In the winter months, huge herds of buffalo and elephant gather at the camps water hole, a photographer’s dream.
Rooms and Suites
The six tented safari suites await (including one family option) with spacious bedrooms, large en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, and a private viewing deck.
All suites (and the camp) are powered by solar energy 🙂

Cuisine and Wine
As always with a Wilderness Safaris camp, the cuisine is superb no matter the time of day and is always prepared with freshest and best ingredients by a highly skilled team in the kitchen.

Facilities
The central guest area is all under canvas, with wooden decking overlooks a waterhole teeming with the best wildlife that Hwange has to offer. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas, an outdoor fire pit, a small lounge area with a library and a swimming pool or plunge pool are found here.
Activities
Safari activities at Little Makalolo Camp are based around the surrounding wildlife and birdlife that Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, is famed for, especially the large herds of elephants that can sometimes top + 1000.
Wildlife sightings around the bush camp include; lion, large herds of elephant, Cape buffalo, wild dog, leopard, rhino, hyena, giraffe, sable and roan antelope, honey badger, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck and numerous other species of plains game.
Birdlife is spectacular (400+ species) in the summer months; this is when birders should be travelling in Zimbabwe as well as Southern Africa.
The Hwange National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, making it the perfect destination for safari enthusiasts.
At Little Makalolo Camp, guests can enjoy a range of activities, including bird watching, game drives, night drives, and guided walks.
There is also a game viewing hide where visitors can get up close and personal with the animals. For those looking to experience the park in a different way, there is also the option to sleep out under the stars.
Afternoon game drives often end with a stop for sunset drinks.
Cultural and village visits are available.
